I went to Bethabara this morning. Did some birding and checked the nest boxes. It is scary to check the boxes not knowing what is inside!
Box 3 has a wasp nest in it and the roof is broken and fell off while I was checking.
Box 1 has a Chickadee nest.
Box 9 has a wasp in it.
Box 4 has a wasp in it.

Box 7 has an ugly spider.
Ferd and I went birding again on Sunday at Magee Marsh! Another super great day! And even better! Warblers include Black-and-white, Black-throated green, Nashville, Orange-crowned, Palm, Prairie, Yellow and Yellow Rumped!

Ferd and I went birding at Magee Marsh on Tuesday. Wow! So many birds! We saw at least 50 different species. Warblers included Black-and-white, Black-throated Green, Blackburnian, Blue-winged, Hooded, Nashville, Palm, Pine, Prothonotary, Yellow, Yellow-breasted Chat and Yellow-rumped! What a great day!

Eric and I went to Bathabra wetlands and saw this Pileated Woodpecker excavating her nest cavity.
Eric and I went to Tanglewood Park today and did a little birding. A beautiful day! The Barred Owl would not come out or even look up from it’s cavity.
Ferd and I saw this pair of Northern Mockingbirds on a cold January 9, 2014 in Greensboro, NC. Let’s dance! 😀
Ferd and I birded at Reynolda Gardens this morning. We had just started out when we heard a Pileated Woodpecker. We walked over to where we heard it. We saw some things falling from a tree and heard some pecking sounds and we saw the Pileated Woodpecker. It was pecking and peeling the bark off. 
I noticed some pieces of bark were falling off a little bit higher on the tree and saw the second Pileated Woodpecker.
We walked around Reynolda Gardens for a while and later went back to the Woodpeckers. They were still there and cleaned off most of the bark on the branch and made many holes.
While Ferd and I were in Savannah last week, we visited the Savannah Wildlife Preserve.

Ferd and I were in Toledo, Ohio recently visiting our Grandson and our families.
We did take a little time to visit our favorite park, Wildwood, to do a little birding. We did see a few interesting birds. My favorite was a couple of White-breasted Nuthatches. They came right up to us on the ground!
