Each morning at we drove through the fog over the New River Gorge Bridge to breakfast at 6 am. After breakfast, we loaded onto our bus for our birding trip. Total birds seen by the whole group for the week was 148 different species. Ferd and I saw 60 different kinds alone. Here are few birds that we saw.
Blue-winged Warbler
Black-billed Cuckoo
Rough-winged Swallow
Scarlet Tanager
Great post and pictures. Sounds like there were a lot of birds around. Birding with a group can be a lot of fun.
It is a lot more fun and you can really see a lot more birds when birding with a group!
What a successful birding trip! You really got some great captures. I would have loved to have been on that trip.
It is a major annual birding event! We went last year. This year was even more fun because the weather was much better. We are planning to go next year. I hope to see you there!
