New River Birding & Nature Festival birds!

Each morning at we drove through the fog over the New River Gorge Bridge to breakfast at 6 am. After breakfast, we loaded onto our bus for our birding trip. Total birds seen by the whole group for the week was 148 different species. Ferd and I saw 60 different kinds alone. Here are few birds that we saw.

Blue-winged Warbler

Black-billed Cuckoo

Rough-winged Swallow

Scarlet Tanager

    1. It is a major annual birding event! We went last year. This year was even more fun because the weather was much better. We are planning to go next year. I hope to see you there!

  1. Wow..You got pictures of birds..Nice! I did six posts on the festival and i think i just had one bird photo. My camera lens just couldnt reach them.

    1. We did get a lot of bird pictures! Not really great ones. Most of the birds were to high for our camera too.
