I have seen a lot of the yellow-rumped warbler at my feeder the last couple days!
Spring is the air! It is 69 degrees outside, the sun is shining, the sky is blue and a little breezy.
The chimes are jingling.
The birds are flying!
Ferd is hanging the bird houses.
I am filling the bird feeders. We are ready for spring!
I went on a bird walk with the Audubon Society of Forsyth County bird group at Salem Lake this morning. It was a gorgeous day outside! We saw a lot of birds, including American goldfinch, Gold and Ruby-crowned Kinglet, downy woodpecker, Ruddy ducks, Pied-billed Grebe, Eastern Phoebe, Canadian Geese, House Finch, Titmouse, White-throated sparrow, Dark-eyed Juncos, Great Blue Heron and a Yellow-rumped Warbler!
Here is part of our group and a few of the birds we saw.
It is very difficult to have just one favorite bird! The bluebird is another favorite of mine. They take really great pictures and are so very cute!
The Carolina wren is one of my favorite birds!
They are so cute!
I usually see one every morning sitting on the railing of our deck singing.
Can you guess what bird’s tail is behind the cylinder!
